The TMI Statement of Faith

Truckstop Ministries believes in and teaches the following:
(Listed in no particular order of importance.)

1. The Bible is the absolute infallible Word of God and it is without error. (2 Samuel 22:31, 2 Timothy 3:16)

2.Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary. (Matthew 1:23)

3. Jesus died on the cross and in three days he arose from the dead (grave) and is alive today, sitting at the right hand of the Father. (Matthew 27:32-50, Luke 24:46- 47)

4. Jesus’ shed blood on the cross is the only remission for man’s sins.
(Hebrew 9:22, 1 John 1:7, Revelation 1:5)

5. Salvation is accessible only through repentance: confessing our sinful nature to
God, turning from our sins, and accepting Jesus as our personal Savior. (Romans 10:9-10 & 13, 1 John 1:9)

6. Sexual sins – Not “alternative lifestyles;” rather, intolerable sins in God’s sight.
       Homosexuality – Romans 1:18-32;
       Adultery, Fornication, etc. – Galatians 5:19-21

7.The Trinity — God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

8. The Rapture — When Jesus appears in the clouds and all born-again Christians go to meet Him in the air. (1 Thessalonians 4:16)

9. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead who manifests the power of God in, and for, man today. (Acts 1:8, Luke 10:19)

10. Water baptism by immersion: an outward profession of our belief in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and not, in itself, necessary for salvation. (Matthew 3:16, 1 Peter 3:21)

11. Hell is a literal place of eternal torment for all who reject God and die in their sin. (Isaiah 66:24, Luke 16:19-21)

12. The anointing with oil and praying for the sick. (James 5:14)
